Past Special Projects Officer IV for the Mississippi Governor's Office - Department of Community and Economic Development (CDBG) Program. He has provided staff support to units of local government and Non-profit organizations in the monitoring and management of block grants.
Dave has provided many funding opportunities through his business affiliations for schools and athletic and academic mentoring programs through the National Football League (NFL) and NFL Players Association. As a former 11 year NFL player Dave recently collaborated with Belhaven College and the NFL – for an intern placement program.
Current program initiative includes:
Pro Player Companies Reading/Linx, mentoring and incentive program, which seeks to provide a ten week program geared to increase literacy and reading scores in grades 3 -12. This pilot program is scheduled for school year 2010-2011.
